Melissa Longpré has a B.S. in Health Science with a concentration in Environmental Health and Safety from Stony Brook University. She is currently working on her MSPH in Industrial Hygiene through Tulane University. Melissa currently works as an Industrial Hygienist at Brookhaven National Laboratory. She serves as a Subject Matter Expert for Noise and Hearing Conservation, Nanoscale Particles, Exhaust Ventilation, and Heat/Cold Stress. She also performs various types of sampling and direct read measurements, chemical management, peroxide forming compound testing, chemical hazard coding, works with the Occupational Medicine Clinic on various IH issues/concerns, performs ergonomic assessments, provides interpretation of sampling results and technical guidance, and assists with audits and compliance with 10 CFR 851: Worker Safety and Health Program. Melissa has several years of volunteer experience with the American Red Cross and Big Brother Big Sisters.
