Speaker Bio: John Azar is the Hazardous Energy Control Work Practice Subject Matter
Expert at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). With over 36 years of combined
experience across private, public, unionized, and non-union environments, John has
cultivated extensive knowledge in electrical safety and hazardous energy control
practices. His professional background includes roles such as Electrical Trade
Supervisor and Electrical Safety Work Practices Field Expert at BNL, along with a 28-
year career in the electrical field.

John holds a Master of Science in Psychology, an MBA in Human Resource
Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in
Economics. He brings a wealth of expertise in project management, safety practices,
and mentoring
