Title: An Overview of NYS Workplace Safety and Loss Prevention Programs, Code Rules 59 and 6

New York State’s Code Rules 59 and 60 are designed to directly influence workplace safety, injury prevention, and illness reduction by tying them to workers’ compensation insurance costs and regulatory compliance.

Speaker Bio: Megan Beauchemin is a Senior Safety and Health Inspector with the NYS Department of Labor, serving New York’s vast array of employers and workers. She has been managing the Workplace Safety and Loss Prevention Program since 2012. Her favorite part about her work is speaking to groups about the programs and interacting with consultants, insurance carriers, and employers to help them keep their employees safe.
